00:00:00Fact that he hasn't practiced and he does have the torn ligament in his right ankle.
00:00:05The colts defensive end is likely to play tonight, according to one source that has watched him prepare in miami all week.
00:00:11Freeney plans to test his anke nell pregame warm-ups.
00:00:14So will freeney impact the game a lot, a little, or not at all?
00:00:18>> Nott all.
00:00:19The basic rule is, if you're in a golf cart on wednesday, you're not going to be big on sunday.
00:00:27I'm going read you something about dwight freeney, no impact at all.
00:00:30During the week, he was on a hyper bolick chime scomber a stim machine.
00:00:36Not in the huddle.
00:00:40He was frankenstein machine.
00:00:42Regular people can relate to this.
00:00:44You rip your ankle up, two weeks later you're going to be at full strength?
00:00:47>> No.
00:00:47>> No way.
00:00:48>> Not full strength.
00:00:49However, I think a lot of experts think he'll come out, he'll be around 60%, and there was a doctor in the "new york times" today talking about it.
00:00:56He'll do pregame foot massage, do some activation and some tape.
00:01:01He should be able to plasme he's 14 days into the healing process.
00:01:03He's not going to be 100%, but it's the super bowl and there's no way this guy's not going to go out there and try.
00:01:09>> 60% Against a good offensive line to me is no impact.
00:01:12I mean, listen, what does a great nfl player like freeney get maybe one sack a game?
00:01:18I mean, that's what he averages.
00:01:21Ok, that's at 100%.
00:01:22Now at 60%, you're talking no sacks, very much few heirs.
00:01:27Again, wednesday golf cart, sunday you're not a pro borle.
00:01:30>> Either way, raheem brock is ready to go.
00:01:32But we asked sportsnation, will freeney impact the game a lot, a little, or not at all?
00:01:36>> Not at all.
00:01:37>> I say a little.
00:01:39Sportsnation?
00:01:41A little bit, 59%.
00:01:43One down.
00:01:46Second question, will the saints be able to sack peyton?
00:01:50So peyton manning was only sacked 10 times the entire regular season.
00:01:55The thought is that if peyton keeps his jersey clean, the colts win.
00:01:58Earlier this week, saints defensive coordinator gregg williams said the saints will need to deliver some weight for, it you know, remember me hits to mr. manning.
00:02:07This sounds mean, doesn't it?
00:02:08Will it work?
00:02:09We asked sportsnation, peyton's uniform will be dirty or clean?
00:02:12>> It will be clean.
00:02:14I'm going make a prediction here.
00:02:16He will have a very very small, maybe a quarter-sized grass stain on his hip from pregame stretching, when they lay down on the field.
00:02:23First of all, the saints don't get to the quarterback that much, 35 sacks, 13th in the nfl.
00:02:30Combine that with the colts, who gave up 10 to peyton manning, this is a guy with a clean jersey.
00:02:35In fact, he may not wash it after the game.
00:02:37 I think it's going to be dirty.
00:02:40Yes, 35 sacks, but 89 q.b.
00:02:44Hits.
00:02:44So whether or not they sack him, that's one thing.
00:02:47But I think they will get to peyton manning.
00:02:49Remember, brett favre against the saints, he didn't stay untouched by any stretch of the imagination.
00:02:53I think they will be able to get to him, maybe not a sack, definitely some hits.
00:02:57He will go down.
00:02:58By the way, peyton manning's been sacked four times in the postseason alone.
00:03:01Only two games.
00:03:02>> Well, remember favre ad libs more of that offense, ad libbing against a wild pass rush is problematic.
00:03:11Manning, everything is thought out.
00:03:14Everything for peyton manning is on paper.
00:03:16There's no ad libbing.
00:03:18That's when quarterbacks get in trouble.
00:03:20Favre a huge ad libber, manning doesn't really believe in it.
00:03:23>> At the end of tonight's game, will peyton's an form be dirty or clean?
00:03:27You say -- >> I've reduce it had to a nickel-sitesed grass stain on his hip.
00:03:31>> I say it's going to be dirty.
00:03:34Sportsnation?
00:03:35Clean.
00:03:3755%, Does a nickel size count?
00:03:40Oh!
00:03:41Does experience matter?
00:03:42This week the colts stayed in the same hotel they were in three years ago.
00:03:47Some players even stayed in their old rooms.
00:03:49That's pretty impressive.
00:03:50When they left those rooms, they went and practiced at the same facility they practiced at before they won their super bowl.
00:03:5619 Colts have super bowl experience.
00:03:59You know how many saints have played in the super bowl?
00:04:00Just four.
00:04:01So we asked sportsnation do, players with super bowl experience have a big advantage?
00:04:06>> I think it's absolutely big.
00:04:07Early in this game,&late in this game, the saints will be a nervous team.
00:04:12In between, you get into a groove, long drive on the field, you forget about it.
00:04:17But at the start and at the end, when a lot of football games are won or lost, it's a big deal.
00:04:2321 Colts have a super bowl ring.
00:04:27One saint does, has an actual ring.
00:04:29>> I think it's prty throl say, been there, done that, you know what to expect, the party, everything that's going on all around week, these guys strod deal with it, saints are seeing it for the first time.
00:04:40I also think there is something to be said for a little bit of ignorance, a little bliss where that's concerned, because maybe you don't know what to expect.
00:04:46Maybe you just go out there and treat it like another game it's like or very first show, it's going matter how long it takes them to get comfortable.
00:04:53Our very first show, I was very nervous.
00:04:55But a few minutes, in I got comfortable.
00:04:57Now, now I just do it in my sleep.
00:05:00>> Don't even prep for it now.
00:05:01>> No!
00:05:03>> The difference between no super bowl and one, and I would say, this it's the difference between getting remarried and married for the first time.
00:05:10Everybody's nervous at the first wedding.
00:05:14Go ask somebody about their second wedding, it's I a big party.
00:05:18Oh, why were we so nervous?
00:05:19Peyton manning, been there, done that, same hotel, same game, same receivers, largely.
00:05:23I really think there's a huge difference.
00:05:26>> Second wedding, better lawyers also.
00:05:29>> That's very well put.
00:05:31>> Do players with super bowl experience have a big advantage?
00:05:34You say -- >> I think absolutely.
00:05:36>> I think so too.
00:05:37Sportsnation?
00:05:38Yes, and it's big, 71%.
00:05:42All right.
00:05:43Lebron, oh, yeah, we're doing it, or super bowl.
00:05:47So lebron james had 47 points last night against the knicks.
00:05:50The hammer scored 35 just in the first half, setting a cleveland record.
00:05:55That's big.
00:05:55He ended up going 17-31 from the floor with six three-pointers.
00:06:00With the win, the cavs have improved to a league-best 41-11.
00:06:04Now, upstairs, we were actually saying that lebron may have provided more action than what we see tonight, so we decided to put it to the test.
00:06:10We asked sportsnation, more points for lebron last night, 47, or the super bowl tonight?
00:06:16>> The super bowl.
00:06:17Because the knicks aren't playing in the super bowl.
00:06:19>> That's a good point.
00:06:21>> There's only one or two great players on the cavs.
00:06:25This super bowl, brees, manning, wayne, clark, joseph addai, reggie bush, colston, shockey, this super bowl has about a dozen, he would say, b plus, a minus or above, offensive players.
00:06:38I just think this super bowl, more than any in my adult life, there's going to be a lot of story.
00:06:45It's just two offenses.
00:06:47>> The whole reason a walked in here today, and I think I said strelled scrap the super bowl.
00:06:51Everybody talks about it.
00:06:52Let's just do an entire two hours of the akron hammer.
00:06:56This was my sneaky way of getting lebron in the show, because he scored at one point 24 straight points.
00:07:04If you played for the new york knicks, at some point last night do you not just take the dude out?
00:07:10Have some pride.
00:07:11You don't let another man score 24 straight points on you.
00:07:14Whether he's going to be in new york or not next year, that's just embarrassing.
00:07:17>> I like your idea of counterprogramming.
00:07:20It's sort of like when you run "the love bug" opposite of the super bowl.
00:07:24So you were going to go all akron hammer today.

00:47:08" >> things we love on this show.
00:50:15Michael hughes, michael bolton, and polling.
00:50:18R day we take a lot of polls in an attempt to get smarter.
00:50:21Here's what we learned today.
00:50:23>> You really like michael bolton?
00:50:27>> 59 Best best say dwight freeney will have a little bit of impact on the super bowl.
00:50:31>> I don't see it.
00:50:31This is what I saw all week.
00:50:33I don't think did you golf cart in the middle of the week into big-time player.
00:50:36Even when he's a great player and healthy, he gets a sack a game, maybe even slightly less.
00:50:41So he's playing at 60% am i don't think he's a factor at all.
00:50:44>> But he didn't practice at all, actually.
00:50:47He was on a golf cart yesterday at walk-throughs.
00:50:50He's been watching, so we'll see.
00:50:52We also learned that arm wrestling taken to new extremes is awesome.
00:50:56>> The only reason you even use the word arm in this, because both guys have arms.
00:51:02But they're not really used much.
00:51:04So it's mostly -- I would call it two dudes beating on each other.
00:51:11>> It could be women, too.
00:51:13I think women would be really good at this.
00:51:16>> How about that name, two dudes beating on each other?
00:51:20>> I think you could get in trouble with that.
00:51:21>> I think it's catchable, marketable.
00:51:25>> I think the outfits make it watchable.
00:51:27The manning jersey will stay clean.
00:51:3055% Of sportsnation say peyton manning's jersey is not going to be touched.
00:51:33>> I am predicting to a quarter to nickel-sized grass stain from warm-up, but the saints only have 35 sacks, which was middle of the league.
00:51:41And I also think, with two weeks to prepare, his protection schemes are better than ever.
00:51:49He was sacked 10 times all year.
00:51:51>> But four in the postseason.
00:51:55Golf in alaska, this is what you do, people.
00:51:57This is what you do.
00:51:58 quality to this that I like, having grown up in the middle of nowhere.
00:52:04This is what you do on saturday night in the winter.
00:52:08>> I don't even see where that guy -- or how about the day when there's no night, what is it, 24 hours of day?
00:52:12That would be great for that.
00:52:13>> Yeah, they have several days with no night.
00:52:18Does that make sense?
00:52:19>> You're the worst.
00:52:20Experience does count.
00:52:2271% Of sportsnation say having super bowl experience can be a big deal tosmede >> well, I was saying this earlier.
00:52:28If you've never been married or been married once before and you're about to get married, it's a huge difference.
00:52:33The second apparently for somebody it's life, it's fun, it's a party.
00:52:37The first one, everybody is nervous.
00:52:38I don't care how long you've been playing football.
00:52:40This is not a game.
00:52:42This is a spectacle.
00:52:44It's the biggest global thing next to the world cup.
00:52:47These saints are going to be nervous.
00:52:49>> Our live studio audience wants to know about the third wedding.
00:52:53Is that just as light?
00:52:54>> Well, the fourth wedding is basically, you two don't want anybody else to know because you're embarrassed, you just go to a beach somewhere.
00:53:01I mean, that's the way it works.
00:53:02That's how I'm planning my fourth.
00:53:04>> I'm never embarrassed about love, colin.
00:53:06We'll see.
00:53:07The saints may not have the experience, but I think they're going to be amped.
00:53:10And watch out for alligators and bungee jumping.
00:53:15>> The reason this was not the lead story with tom brokaw on nbc news is because it's fake.
00:53:19It's a commercial.
00:53:20>> Little a commercial.
00:53:22But a great commercial.
00:53:23>> Yeah.
00:53:25It was a commercial for licorice, strangely.
00:53:30>> Australia will do some things that make you think.
00:53:33>> Have you ever been there?
00:53:34>> I have not.
00:53:35Too long a flight.
00:53:37I love explosives.
00:53:38So while you were in miami, we created our own super bowl prop.
00:53:44We sent -- we went to a quarry and loaded these with nitroglycerin.
00:53:53Oh, yeah.
00:53:53>> Ok, so -- >> I know you're gemous.
00:53:57I know you're gemous.
00:53:58>> How do know who's the winner?
00:54:00>> Well, I won, because at that time I picked the saints, and the saints blew up first.
00:54:05>> Oh, I see.
00:54:07>> Marcellus had gone colts and obviously lost.
00:54:10>> I missed out on explosives.
00:54:12>> I'm just saying, you can have your parties and beaches and vodka, whatever.
00:54:17Time for "pulse of the nation" presented by toyota.
00:54:20We've got the stories, you've got the opinions.
00:54:22 our fifth most buzz worthy story today, is manning the best ever?
00:54:27Is that object suffered or attainable?
00:54:30Peyton manning, four-time nfl m.v.p.
00:54:32He is a super bowl champ.
00:54:33He could also possibly hold every major passing record by the end of his career.
00:54:37And now he's just hours away from possibly adding another super bowl ring to his resume.
00:54:41So the best of all time conversation, it's been going on.
00:54:45The debate comes with all kinds of if's, so our buddy mike florio wrote earlier this week, peyton manning eventually could be remembered as the greatest nfl quarterback of all time.
00:54:55To get there, however, he needs to win at least one more super bowl, maybe two.
00:54:59With another ring, manning could reach best quarterback ever status.
00:55:03Is that absurd or attainable?
00:55:04>> Oh, it's attainable.
00:55:05I look at peyton manning the same way of robert de niro.
00:55:10Am I going think he's significantly better with one more oscar?
00:55:14It's been established.
00:55:15De niro and manning are just absurdly talented.
00:55:17They've had good games, good movies, bad games, bad movies.
00:55:21But I'm not going to massively change my opinion on either one based on an award, even if they earned, it even if the performance was great, it's been established.
00:55:28They're amazing.
00:55:29>> Do you find it funny that some people say -- and even when marcellus was here for you last week, he said, I don't care if he gets another ring or not, as far as he's concerned, he's already the best quarterback ever.
00:55:39And I know how much you love tom brady.
00:55:41What does that do to you?
00:55:42>> But I think rings really help establish greatness, because statistically he's not as great.
00:55:48I think rings -- physically, brady and montana, they're not as impressive as manning, so the rings add to them.
00:55:55Statistically manning is the best.
00:55:56Eames got the rings.
00:55:57And I do love brady.
00:55:58But manning is one of those guys, he's sort of almost beyond it.
00:56:02We all kind of acknowledge dude plays at a dncht level.
00:56:06>> That's why we expect him to be here, why the saints story is that much more underdofplg >> so super bowl saturday.
00:56:15Smart or stupid?
00:56:17A doctor is suggesting a little break from tradition.
00:56:20He wants to make super bowl sunday into super bowl saturday.
00:56:24From y?
00:56:26Well, he thinks restaurants and bars would be busier, parties would be bigger, fans could eat, drink a lot more.
00:56:31Kids could also stay up a whole lot later.
00:56:33And most importantly, offices would not be filled with hungover messes on monday.
00:56:37That would happen on sunday instead.
00:56:39 froman, much like a playoff for the ncaa division I college football national championship, or bringing back the tv show "alf," moving the super bowl to saturday seems like one of those changes that is such an obvious improvement that you wonder why it's never been done before.
00:56:57Moving the super bowl to saturdayen stead of sunday, smart or stupid?
00:57:00>> That's stupid.
00:57:01Every year at this time, a typical doctor outthinking the room here.
00:57:05This is very -- >> doctor?
00:57:07>> What's the only day of the year you're allowed to show up at work hung over, late, inattentive, and everybody's like, oh.
00:57:17>> With our crew?
00:57:18Hello!
00:57:18>> Well, that's kind of the work-study process here.
00:57:21But with most americans, it's the monday after the super bowl, it's a mail-in workday.
00:57:26Everybody acknowledges it.
00:57:27Everybody's a little late, a little slow.
00:57:29>> No!
00:57:31You are so wrong right now!
00:57:33I'm already thinking ahead to 6:00.
00:57:36We're going to be at the bar, we're going to have nachos and stuff.
00:57:38And then I have to come to work tomorrow so.
00:57:40It's kind of a little mini buzz kill on top of what's going to be an awesome night fifment knew tomorrow I could spend the whole day on a couch, I would be the happiest person ever.
00:57:50>> But most people, you lack, and you would acknowledge this, discipline.
00:57:57And so you need the discipline of work on monday, michelle.
00:57:59>> But imagine bourbon street after the saints win the super bowl.
00:58:02Look, they don't need an excuse to party on power done street, which makes what could happen tonight even greater.
00:58:07This could go on potentialer for 48 straight hours.
00:58:10>> Yeah, so if it wasn't for sunday and having to work monday, and you mardi gras would stay up all night.
00:58:17Monday, work forces the michelle beadle says of the world, charming and brilliant, but with no discipline.
00:58:23>> Why do not I have all day sunday to kill?
00:58:25>> Think about this.
00:58:26If you didn't have to work tomorrow, you'd watch this game, eat like 30 pop targets.
00:58:31>> Pop tarts?
00:58:35No, that's why college football is great.
00:58:36All day saturday, you act like a buffoon.
00:58:38Sunday, you recoup.
00:58:41You detox.
00:58:41It happens a lot here.
00:58:42Our third most buzz worthy story right now is date manning.
00:58:47Surprising or expected?
00:58:49Now, if you've got a sister or maybe even your mom, you probably don't want to take her a date with a dude.
00:58:56Well, too bad.
00:58:57com poll asks you guys, who would you rather have date your sister, peyton manning or drew brees.
00:59:06That's right, one of those guys is going to wine and dine her, so let's see who you prefer it to be.
00:59:10Well, 56% of you guys want manning macking it to your sister.
00:59:14Not drew brees.
00:59:15That's weird.
00:59:16Fans would rather have manning date your sister.
00:59:18Is that surprising or expected?
00:59:19>> A little surprising.
00:59:20I'm going with drew brees.
00:59:21>> Huh.
00:59:23We do agree.
00:59:24>> Anybody on that can stay this focused and stay out of trouble in new orleans is really somebody I'd love to date my mom or my sister.
00:59:33Think about this.
00:59:34New orleans is the only city in the think where people get in trouble at 8:00 a.m.
00:59:40>> I know!
00:59:41>> Like not even the p.m.
00:59:4300 in the morning, it's like, oh, boy, got to take these guys away.
00:59:46Take them to the county jail.
00:59:48It's a crazy city, it's chaos, wild, fun, food, and yet drew brees has maintained almost an anonymity as a quarterback for the best offense in the league.
00:59:58>> And I look at it as a girl would look at it, the actual date itself, from the pickup to what you guys do to the end.
01:00:03And I just -- nothing against peyton manning nells, but i find that drew brees would be concerned that you would a good time.
01:00:10He would do something fun.
01:00:11You guys could shuck ousters and hang out in new orleans.
01:00:16Shucking oysters is fun, people.
01:00:18With peyton, it would be a textbook date.
01:00:21>> How many times have you went and grabbed a buddy, what are you doing tonight, shucking oilsers?
01:00:28Nothing says a good time like oysters.
01:00:30>> Well, welcome to my little world, people.
01:00:32Our second most buzz worthy story right now, madden says saints.
01:00:36Is that informative or idiotic?
01:00:37 did a super bowl simulation with madden nfl 10.
01:00:42They are calling for the upset tonight.
01:00:45The madden 10 says saints 35-31 over the colts.
01:00:48They're predicting a very close fourth quarter, including a reggie bush returned touchdown and a late game-winning pass from drew brees.
01:00:57Worth noting, madden has correctly predicted five of the last six super bowls.
01:01:04So is the madden sim saying the colts going to win informative or idiotic?
01:01:10>> Idiotic, but no more or less than anything else, the butcher, the floorest, the president, the congressman, everybody anticipates got an opinion.
01:01:19Nobody's overly accurate.
01:01:20I've always looked at this game, it's the biggest game, you don't have to really pay attention to football to pick a winner.
01:01:27I mean, gow to the watch college basketball.
01:01:29If I said clemson-duke, who do you like?
01:01:31But you can just go, I like team because your buddy, your brother, your sister is talking it's a silly pick, but they're all silly.
01:01:38>> You know what, though?
01:01:39Can you say something about the fact that five of the last circumstances the only one they got wrong, which we pointed out, was giants-patriots, which obviously nobody got right.
01:01:48>> A little fluck that game.
01:01:49>> Not bad for simulation games.
01:01:52>> Well, it uses numbers and data and computers, but that's most what will everybody else uses as well.
01:01:57Paup a there's a little more science behind the video game picking than up or me.
01:02:01>> All right.
01:02:02>> Which leads to us our most buzz worthy story right now.
01:02:06A gorilla picked the saints.
01:02:08Is that informative or I had on the I can?
01:02:11Earlier this week, amani, a 37-year-old gorilla at the fort worth zoo, picked the saints.
01:02:18Zookeepers filled footballs with delicious gore ale treefments amani only cracked open the saints ball, meaning that is her super bowl winter.
01:02:25It was the very first year gorillas were making picks.
01:02:30Meerkats picked the winner last year.
01:02:33They're hoping the gorillas will be more accurate.
01:02:37Informative or idiotic?
01:02:38>> This is informative.
01:02:40Through the years, I have always trusted a zoo animal.
01:02:45Generally speaking, before we started the show "sportsnation," I went to the bronx zoo, talked to a llama for a career decision, an incredible sounding board.
01:02:54You get information.
01:02:56They're tremendous listeners.
01:02:57They give you the type of timely feedback and compassionate feedback you need.
01:03:02So this, to me, is well founded, makes sense, and totally trustable.
01:03:06>> I wanted to you just go on and on with that, and I want to find out who else you talked to at the zoo.
01:03:11You know, we talk about this all the time.
01:03:13Some of it take us so seriously making these picks.
01:03:15At the end of the day, it's a logic.
01:03:17They do those experiments of year where a housewife somewhere picked based on the color of the uniform and ends up beating 60% of the so-called experts.
01:03:25For me, it's just fun, and there's something behind this.
01:03:28For whatever reason, chris ma, a certain connection with the new orleans saints, I'm going with amani.
01:03:36>> I just got back from miami, I'm going with armani.
01:03:39Hello!
01:03:41Man, did I have fun in miami!
01:03:42>> Oh, wow.
01:03:43>> What a week I had in miami.
01:03:45>> Stop bragging.
01:03:46No one here likes you.
01:03:48It is time now to get bad.
01:03:52 tears of the year.
01:03:56First up, david anderson, texans and jags.
01:03:59The pass intended for david anderson, but he gets hit so hard he coughs up the ball.
01:04:05It's intercepted.
01:04:06>> You know what?
01:04:08Even slo-mo, that's painful.
01:04:11>> Nothing good about that.
01:04:13Huge hit.
01:04:15Grant coming up with the pick.
01:04:16It just hurts.
01:04:17>> How come houston have all these good players but always end up third in their division?
01:04:22Aren't they supposed to eventually -- you can't draft that well and keep losing.
01:04:26>> Two tears for tommy kill, raiders and broncos.
01:04:29Tommy kelly with the tackle.
01:04:31At some point, however, it it's the bottom of the pile, he just manages to lose his pants.
01:04:36>> This was not -- watch this.
01:04:39>> I personally thought this was hilarious.
01:04:42>> That wasn't great.
01:04:45Now, he elasticity let him doufpble >> feel bad for him.
01:04:49He probably doesn't like having his boom boom shown either.
01:04:53>> Well, I've never seen that before.
01:04:56>> Three tears for william gay, vikings and steelers.
01:04:59Favre hits adrian peterson on the short pass, who makes a joke out of william gay.
01:05:04>> This is actually kind of funny, isn't it?
01:05:06>> Unless you're william gay, it's great.
01:05:08I mean, adrian peterson just has a way of doing.
01:05:11This >> adrian peterson says he runs angry.
01:05:15That's his term for it.
01:05:16Through a I like that.
01:05:17I work angry.
01:05:18I think it works for me.
01:05:20>> Doesn't work for us, but for you it does.
01:05:22>> Thank you so much.
01:05:23We're going to tell you important information about a quarterback I like more than peyton manning, and his name is not tom brady.
01:05:29What?
01:05:29Ought a I didn't hear about this.
01:05:31Nobody ran this by me.
01:05:33" >> hey, jacob, what are we going to watch today?
01:09:15>> The super bowl.
01:09:16>> What else are we going to watch today?
01:09:18>> "Sportscenter"!
01:09:31>> Good morning!
01:09:32We're just bringing you a little happy morning time.
01:09:35We're actually an n hour two, believe it or not.
01:09:38We have our morning mugs right here.
01:09:40I feel very kelly and regis.
01:09:42>> Die, too.
01:09:43I had a danish this morning, went top a pilates class.
01:09:46>> No, you didn't.
01:09:47We got here at 5:00.
01:09:49We are in the second hour of " we get to ants big question, though.
01:09:53Who you got?
01:09:53>> Oh, ok.
01:09:54>> Rudd?
01:09:55Vegas experts think the colts are going to win this thing by five.
01:09:58We've heard a lot about how the only team that can beat the colts is, well, the colts.
01:10:04They're 16-0 in games they tried to win this year.
01:10:08Obviously sean payton's crew is looking to change that.
01:10:10So we asked you, simple question, who you got, saints or colts?
01:10:14>> I am a colts believer.
01:10:19Quarterback, check colts.
01:10:21Maturity, check colts.
01:10:22Defense, check, colts.
01:10:24Better defense, I believe it's the a.f.c.
01:10:26Skill players, mother colts.
01:10:27Experience, colts.
01:10:28Head coach, I give the saints the edge.
01:10:30But I also think the saints play the majority of their games at home on that turf.
01:10:39I think indianapolis been on this grass before.
01:10:42I think all things tell me the colts are a better team, and i don't think it's going to come down to the last second.
01:10:46>> I feel like the grass turf thing is not that big a deal.
01:10:49You know, there's no secret that I'm a big fan of the underdog.
01:10:51I think a lot of people love underdogs.
01:10:53And there has not been as great an underdog as new orleans in a long time.
01:10:57You have the city itself, new orleans, who could use a bigger one than that city?
01:11:01Drew brees, the little guy that everyone thinks couldn't is now sitting there with a chance to been a super bowl ring.
01:11:07The fact they've never been there before, it's almost too easy for me to want to get behind this saints game.
01:11:12And it's not anything against the colts, which is why they get confused.
01:11:17I just feel like the colts, the yankees, are supposed to be here this time of the season.
01:11:21So when you have a team that maybe isn't supposed to be there, just has the type of season that new orleans did, i can't not root for the saints.
01:11:28>> And remember this, though.
01:11:29The yankees and the lakers, when he when they get to the finals, they usually win it.
01:11:33Because it's part of the culture.
01:11:35They're not nervous.
01:11:36They don't see it as big a game.
01:11:39Historically, the saints, the team, the rockies that slip into the world series, they play nervous.
01:11:44>> So we asked sportsnation, who you got, saints or colts?
01:11:48You say -- >> colts.
01:11:50Tape autopsy I say saints.
01:11:51Sportsnation?
01:11:53Oh, not too bad, 58% going colts.
01:11:56>> We both want a really good game.
01:11:58>> That's actually more important than anything.
01:12:01Now, it appears that dwight freeney is going to play.
01:12:04He's going try, even though he hasn't practiced.
01:12:06He's still got the torn ligament in his right ankle.
01:12:09The colts defensive end very likely to play today, according to a source that watched him prepare in miami this week.
01:12:15He's planning on testing it before the game tonight, but we want to know, will freeney impact the game a lot, a little, or not at all?
01:12:22>> Not at all.
01:12:24I've had this theory, michelle, for about 20 years.
01:12:28If during the week you don't practice and instead you're in a golf cart, you're not going to have a big impact on the game.
01:12:36Even if he was healthy, what does dwight freeney do, one sack, six hurries, now he's playing 60%?
01:12:43All I saw all week was a hyperbolic chamber -- >> isn't it hyperbaric?
01:12:50>> Well, at this is so bad, he bolic, not baric.
01:12:57He's a great player, but he's going to be playing at 50%, 60%.
01:13:01Regular people can relate to this.
01:13:02You rip up your neep or ankle.
01:13:04Two weeks later, it's not better.
01:13:06>> Well, the problem is the injury he does have, it's one of those that is supposed to take five, six weeks to heal.
01:13:11The dude's had 14 days.
01:13:13So I don't know how much you can do as far as shots are concerned and whatever pregame ritual they're going to be able to do.
01:13:19Obviously you're not going to keep him from going out there and trying.
01:13:21Yes, he'll probably only be 50%, maybe finish the game.
01:13:25Raheem brock will be ready to go.
01:13:27He is ready to go.
01:13:27They've talked about it all week.
01:13:29Yeah, I think he may have a little impact just mentally if anything, but other than that, I don't know.
01:13:35>> Listen, and by the way, if you're playing on a tender ankle, it's probably increasing the chances you get hurt again, not to mention you're thinking about it.
01:13:45>> We asked sportsnation, will freeney impact the game a lot, a little, not at all?
01:13:49You say -- >> not at all.
01:13:51>> I say a little bit.
01:13:52Sportsnation?
01:13:54A little, 59%.
01:13:55Fine he's just out there, it might rattle them for a second, for a couple of plays, new orleans.
01:14:00A 400-yard day, will peyton have one?
01:14:03People are expecting the sheriff to have a big game when he faces the saints defense that is ranked 26th against the pass.
01:14:10This year, manning played nine teams ranked 20th or worse against the pass.
01:14:14Not surprisingly, he lit them all up.
01:14:17Regular season, he averaged 311 yards per game, so we asked sportsnation, will peyton throw over or under 400 yards?
01:14:24>> Under, because there's two weeks built up, and this is the biggest game of the year, we start to embellish, and people are, like, yeah, he's going throw for 900 yards in the first quarter.
01:14:34Listen, his season high, i think it was against arizona, was under 4 hufpble he usually gets in the 325's, 330.
01:14:41That's what the offense is built for.
01:14:43By the way, this is a team that gets the lead and then likes to eat the clock.
01:14:47So let's not embellish peyton manning.
01:14:49He throws interceptions.
01:14:50He's not flawless.
01:14:51He's going to make some mistakes.
01:14:53He's a great quarterback, but even great quarterbacks generally don't throne for 400 and 500 yards.
01:14:58>> And I also think that by same something like that, you're basically saying the saints are going to allow peyton manning, the one guy on that team they're super prepared for, to go out there and throw over 400 yards.
01:15:08There's no way.
01:15:09This is a super bowl.
01:15:10This isn't week seven.
01:15:11This sent some random game.
01:15:12I've heard people say peyton manning can have a 500-yard game.
01:15:16I mean, it's nice to think about and it would be a great story.
01:15:18I hope it doesn't happen because it means the game might not that be great.
01:15:21But there's no way.
01:15:22Like you said, 379, season high, can't see it coming.
01:15:25Autopsy sexaw even though the colts have a lot of players who played in this game, both teams, it will be like one of the big fights in vegasms you feel out each other the first few rounds.
01:15:34The truth is it's very doubtful they come out with their trick plays.
01:15:38This first quarter is going to be slow, they're going to feel each other out, no big gambles, which tells me fewer yards.
01:15:44>> We asked you guys, will peyton throw over or under 400 yards tonight?
01:15:48You say -- >> under.
01:15:50>> As well do i.
01:15:51Sportsnation?
01:15:53Under by a lot.
01:15:5680%.
01:15:56Good one.
01:15:57So does experience matter?
01:15:58Seems like an easy question.
01:16:00This week, the colts, they did everything right.
01:16:02They stayed in the same hotel they stayed in three years ago.
01:16:04Some of the players even went back and stayed in their old rooms.
01:16:09When they left the rooms, they practiced the same facility where they practiced when they won their super bowl, 19 colts on this team have super bowl experience.
01:16:18On the saints team, only four have been to the big game.
01:16:21So we asked sportsnation, do players with super bowl experience have a big advantage?
01:16:27>> I really believe so, and i always have.
01:16:29Now, it doesn't matter if you've been to two, three, or four, but never having been and having been, there is a big gap there.
01:16:36My feeling is, the colts will be better early and the colts will be better late.
01:16:41In the middle of the game, i have no idea, because once you get into a groove and the flow of the game, but the first five, six minutes, don't kid yourself.
01:16:51The saints are going to be a team a little bit on their heels.
01:16:54And at the end of the game, you look up, it's the super bowl, i like the colts advantage.
01:16:58The colts have 19 players who have earned over 20 rings.
01:17:03And there's one guy on the saints, one guy has a super bowl ring.
01:17:07So how much does it matter?
01:17:08I don't know.
01:17:09But it matters.
01:17:10>> It obviously matters once you break the ice on anything, a job interview, cooking, whatever it might be.
01:17:16You get that first one out of the way, there's a certain comfort level that comes with it.
01:17:21But I do think that the saints, you know, with drew brees, with sean payton, I think that they've been put in a position to keep level heads about themselves, to realize how big a deal this is, and to go out there and be told, look, they weren't even suppose the to be here, so they've had a lot to get to this point.
01:17:35But yes, I think experience is a big deal.
01:17:39We asked you guys, experience yes?
01:17:42You say -- >> obviously.
01:17:44>> Yes.
01:17:45Sportsnation?
01:17:45Yes.
01:17:4671%.
01:17:46I like the optimism on the no.
01:17:50Nice.
01:17:50Marketing brees.
01:17:51According to a leading marketing index, only 42% of people in america recognize drew brees.
01:17:57If he were to lead the sants to a super bowl victory, those exact same experts say that he could double his marketability and his endorsement portfolio.
01:18:06Of course, peyton manning, the current marketing king of the nfl.
01:18:09He brings home about $12 million in endorsements a year.
01:18:13We asked sportsnation, can drew brees become a marketing star?
01:18:19>> No, he doesn't want it, and he doesn't have it.
01:18:22Now, what I mean by that, great guy, family guy, quiet guy.
01:18:26But he doesn't have -- and i don't know the gravitas or whatever it is, he doesn't have the sevens humor of peyton manning.
01:18:32He doesn't look like tom brady.
01:18:33Who does?
01:18:34And he doesn't have the arm of john elway or he doesn't have that kind of bar stool wrangler appeal of brett favre.
01:18:40He is a little smallish.
01:18:44Very quiet, kind of reluctant to give the press a lot of stuff about him.
01:18:47He doesn't have that it, and he doesn't want that it.
01:18:50>> I know, but you know what he does have?
01:18:53He has an amazing story.
01:18:54You said it earlier yourself, wanted to go to texas, ended up going to a smaller school, purdue.
01:18:59He's the little guy.
01:19:01He's not really loved in san diego, figured out a way to make an awesome home for himself in new orleans.
01:19:06People like to see people make it.
01:19:08It gives them hope as well.
01:19:10Peyton manning is great, because peyton manning was born great.
01:19:13He came from the most lucky situation with a gift for an arm.
01:19:18Drew brees has worked his tail off to do what he's done, and that same expert, by the way, they said if he got familiar and people realized who he was, he has better appeal than peyton manning.
01:19:26>> Well, no, his likeability is through the roof.
01:19:28Remember, simon cowell, howard stern, rush limbaugh are wildly popular and not overly like ability.
01:19:38-- Overly likable.
01:19:40Like ability?
01:19:41To know me is very likable.
01:19:42>> I don't know.
01:19:44I think could he be a peyton manning?
01:19:46No.
01:19:46But that's an exception.
01:19:46We asked sportsnation, can drew brees become a marketing start?
01:19:50You say -- >> star, I don't think so.
01:19:52>> I say yes.
01:19:53Sportsnation?
01:19:5765%, Oh.
01:19:58All right, we're going keep talking commercials because we love them.
01:20:01Lebron, dwight, and big mac, mcdonald's has released snippets of a new version of their classic super bowl horse commercial.
01:20:09The original, if you remember, featured michael jordan and larry bird playing for a big mac.
01:20:13This one has got dwight howard challenging lebron for his lunch.
01:20:17Reaction's been split on this one some.
01:20:18People love the remake.
01:20:19Others think that lebron should do his own thing.
01:20:22So colin, what do you think about this, love it or leave it?
01:20:26>> Leave it.
01:20:27First of all, get some championships before you play horse.
01:20:30>> Are you serious?
01:20:32I play horse.
01:20:33 and bird were doing, it they both had titles, they were both iconic, veteran players, they paid their dues.
01:20:40Dwight howard would be the first to admit, and his coaches would say, he's about 60% of the player he's going to be.
01:20:46Well, I mean, to me it's too early.
01:20:48It's like you're forcing me now to compare the two, and bird was already -- arguably the best player ever.
01:20:54Job dance the best player ever.
01:20:56I just -- you're forcing notice like t.
01:20:58>> But you're talking about right now, two of a handful of the biggest names in the nba, which, by the way, has become excellent at marketing its stars.
01:21:07Yeah, they haven't gotten to championships yet.
01:21:09The idea being that by the time these two guys are done playing this game, they're going to have rings.
01:21:14People love these two.
01:21:15Dwight howard is one of the most cars market people out there, and the akron hammer is the akron hammer.
01:21:22I have no problem with a remake of this commercial.
01:21:23>> Listen, I'm pro mcdonald's, ok?
01:21:26I'm just not -- >> that's good.
01:21:28>> I'm just not pro-mcdonald commercial.
01:21:31I feel like they're pushing it and forcing it.
01:21:33>> Well, then you're just going to have kobe commerbles all time.
01:21:36That's no fun.
01:21:37>> Oh, yes, it is.
01:21:38>> Does dwight howard have a chance against lebron in a game of snors you say -- >> no, not really.
01:21:43>> I say yes.
01:21:44Sportsnation?
01:21:47Ok, they loved it, 60%.
01:21:50That one on on me.
01:21:51Touchdown for dallas?
01:21:53Peyton manning loves tossing it out to his tight end, dallas clark.
01:21:56Will he find pay dirt in the super bowl?
01:21:58We'll tell you after the break.

01:25:53>> Everybody wants to know what's up with dwight freeney's knowing he will.
01:25:57Let's hear it from the man himself.
01:25:59The colts defensive end starts our top five things you've got to hear.
01:26:02>> Number five -- >> at some point you'll have to feel what you want to feel in that ankle as to where you think you can play football.
01:26:10What do you think it will be?
01:26:12>> I mean, you know, as long as I can go out there and, you know, have some agility and i can be able to push off and play somewhat like I know how, you know, I'll be fine.
01:26:24You know, if I do have to alter my game a little bit, so be it.
01:26:27This is the biggest game, you know, there is.
01:26:30>> Number four -- >> you walk into a hotel, you walk into any venue, and you run into peyton manning or you run into drew brees.
01:26:39When you say drew brees, you say, congratulations.
01:26:41You run into peyton manning, up say, you got one more.
01:26:45This is your leg simple >> number three -- >> I'm not superstitious.
01:26:49Maybe a little stitious.
01:26:53That's a bad joke.
01:26:54Eli gave me that, bad joke, I'm sorry.
01:26:57Take it back.
01:26:58>> Number two -- >> new orleans can party just as hard.
01:27:01They can really party.
01:27:01You know, them say they have a really great celebration planned for us if we win this game.
01:27:06>> Number one -- >> we reached the point where we're ready to wrap up our story on ochocinco network.
01:27:12>> Right.
01:27:13>> Now, every great journalist has a signature out.
01:27:16What's yours?
01:27:18>> All right.
01:27:20Ochocinco network, where news is given and you can kiss the baby, zpu don't like, it child, please.
01:27:27>> For espn, I'm suzy kolber.
01:27:33>> What time is it?
01:27:35>> Game time!
01:27:36>> I have many tangibles that i think I can bring to this -- this outfit.
01:27:43I have a certain gravitas about me.
01:27:47I have a -- a certain -- well, I have a certain bell I dose dignity -- -- bellicose dignity about me.
01:28:02I'm kind of the mick hang owe with the words.
01:28:05I paint pictures with the words that come out of my mouth.
01:28:07>> Yes, don't we all?
01:28:09Don't we all?
01:28:10It is game time, and coinl, who has missed his awesome red jacket terribly, so gets to wear it today because we are playing the "multipoll choice" game.
01:28:18We ask five questions, and i try to guess how you answered it.
01:28:22Are you ready?
01:28:22>> Good to see management finally drop some dinero, if you know what I mean.
01:28:31I would say I've earned the right to some flashing light.
01:28:34Is that clear?
01:28:36First question -- bell i understand, good to see her again.
01:28:39Nurse or home maker?
01:28:41What percentage of sportsnation trusts the madden simulation that says saints win?
01:28:48>> According to the open official madden sim, the sants will pull off the upset tonight, 35-31.
01:28:55If you think that's funny, madden has actually predicted accurately the outcome of both the n.f.c. and a.f.c.
01:29:00Championship games within a margin of three points.
01:29:03Also five of the last six winners of the super bowl.
01:29:05That being said, I think people are still a little skeptical.
01:29:10>> I love them.
01:29:15Clearly technology ends there.
01:29:17It is just going nowhere.
01:29:19>> I'm going say -- >> nearly 47% buy the madden simulation.
01:29:24The nation says -- >> fair enough!
01:29:27>> Ok, audience, if you're going to help me cheat, give me the right answers.
01:29:32>> Percentage of sportsnation says dallas clark will score a t.d.
01:29:37>> Well, if you are looking for a sleeper pick, sexenk we all are, for the first -- and i think we all are, for the first prop bet, clark and manning connected for 100 times this season for 11 touchdowns.
01:29:51He is tied for the team lead with reggie bush.
01:29:55>> That's ridiculous -- nobody throws to the.
01:29:58To they're strictly used for blocking.
01:30:01That is a ridiculous error by our statistical people.
01:30:04>> I want top say nearly half again.
01:30:06You think it's higher?
01:30:0866%?
01:30:10>> I would say higher.
01:30:12>> I'm going to go 66%.
01:30:13It's not 86%.
01:30:15>> The nation -- >> oh!
01:30:18>> First you asked for the right answer, they give it to you, then you don't listen.
01:30:22>> I hate them so much.
01:30:25Next -- >> all right, what percentage of sportsnation is attending a super bowl party?
01:30:30>> Well, about 125 million americans are expected to attend some sort of super bowl party, and how much money is going to be spent?
01:30:39$55 Mill.
01:30:40Yeah, 15,000 tons of chips, 4,000 tons of popcorn, and eight million pounds of guacamole.
01:30:51All right, I would think this would be high.
01:30:54>> By the way -- >> but for you regulars out there -- >> I went to a party last year at burt reynolds' grotto.
01:31:03>> Yeah!
01:31:04>> The vermuth was flowing.
01:31:10Burt loves it.
01:31:10Delicious.
01:31:15Gauc and vermouth.
01:31:18>> 57 Percent pemples >> yeah!
01:31:22>> Now I don't care.
01:31:23As long as I get one.
01:31:24Next?
01:31:24>> Percentage of sportsnation that says reggie bush will score a touchdown.
01:31:30>> There he is, 25, reggie bush could be the x factor tonight.
01:31:34He makes explosives plays.
01:31:36He scores touchdowns.
01:31:36But when does he those things, the saints are pretty hard to beat.
01:31:40Problem, is will he show up?
01:31:41He scored nine total touchdowns this season, five rushing, three receiving, and one on special teams.
01:31:47>> I think reggie -- the stars come out in miami.
01:31:52>> Didn't you used to anchor in miami?
01:31:55>> For 3 1/2 years in miami.
01:31:56Don't remember a newscast.
01:31:59It's a wild city.
01:32:00>> That's something.
01:32:01That's something.
01:32:07>> You guys say 64%?
01:32:09>> The odds are good, thosme >> hands up for 64%?
01:32:12>> Yeah?
01:32:13>> Let's go with it.
01:32:14>> Yeah!
01:32:21>> The percentage of sportsnation that says monday should be a national holiday.
01:32:29>> Heck, yeah, it should!
01:32:30So here's the stat.
01:32:337-Eleven says a whopping 21% increase in antacid the day after the super bowl.
01:32:40Why?
01:32:41Because everyone is busy eating tons of awesome, disgusting, fried, beautiful foods and drinking fweemplet I'm already dreading work tomorrow because I know I'm not going feel great.
01:32:53So I'm going say -- >> by the way, there's no holidays in the journalism business.
01:32:59News doesn't stop.
01:32:59I'm not sure if this is journalism.
01:33:01>> This is not journalism, i can promise you that.
01:33:03I'm going say 66%, although it should be 100%.
01:33:06No, more?
01:33:07>> Low, low.
01:33:09>> Higher, higher!
01:33:12>> All right, my america.
01:33:16>> Higher!
01:33:20>> We told you to stay there >> worst crowd ever.
01:33:25You know what?
01:33:26Do I still get my video?
01:33:28>> Sure.
01:33:29Roller coaster.
01:33:30>> Yeah, we're working on a weekend.
01:33:32Do it.
01:33:36>> This is the roller coaster in jersey.
01:33:40It's kind of french for I can -- I can break through security and screw off on a roller coaster.
01:33:49>> I think it's going take a lot.
01:33:51>> Scared of heights, so i wouldn't like doing.
01:33:53That >> this is so much more than just act frayed of heights, though.
01:33:55There are like 13 fears that are encompassing this.
01:33:58>> Oh, wow.
01:33:59That was impressive, actually.
01:34:00>> You miss one of those -- >> good news for us.
01:34:05" cheers of the year.
01:34:08First up, one of the greatest plays of the entire season, adrian peterson and the vikings , week one.
01:34:16He makes everyone look foolish.
01:34:20>> I think that's one of my favorite runs ever in the nfl.
01:34:25>> The season started off right.
01:34:27We were all so pumped to be going, and then this happened.
01:34:31It's embarrassing.
01:34:33>> Excuse me, I've got to score.
01:34:35>> Get off me, please, sir.
01:34:37He is awesome.
01:34:39>> It's funny, though, that was his best run of the year.
01:34:42>> Was it?
01:34:44Yeah, it was.
01:34:45He has another one.
01:34:45Two cheers for robert meachem, saints-redskins, week 13.
01:34:50Drew brees throws a pick to moore.
01:34:53On the return, though, he's stripped by robert meachem, who takes it back for the t.d.
01:34:58>> I said this at the time.
01:35:00People don't realize this, that was a planned play.
01:35:02>> What?
01:35:03>> It's the interception you repossess and take in.
01:35:08It's on like page 84.
01:35:10>> That's why people come here for inside info.
01:35:13>> Right, that was planned.
01:35:14>> Sour good at your job.
01:35:16>> They do that at practice finally pays off.
01:35:19>> Three cheers for brett favre.
01:35:2149Ers and vikings, week three.
01:35:2312 Seconds left, the vokes are down four.
01:35:27Favre does a favre-tastic thing, greg lewis, back of the end zone.
01:35:32He gets both feet down, and the vikings win.
01:35:33>> It was sort that have moment where, if you didn't buy the whole favre coming back, suddenly you had to buy t.
01:35:39>> This is when those of us who loved him sarksde oh!
01:35:43>> This was the, ok, dude is special, I can't be a cynic on favre, nobody else in the league could have done that.
01:35:49>> Dude is special.
01:35:50You guys to want see the single best thing that has happened to me this year and made me say i love my job?
01:35:57>> What?
01:35:57That I'm coming back for.
01:35:59>> That's coming up.
01:39:01>> College basketball double-header tomorrow.
01:39:03First at serving the villanova wildcats facing off against the mountaineers.
01:39:0800, the jayhawks -- i don't know, they're going to try to lose to my texas longhorns.
01:39:13What's up with that?
01:39:14Big monday, presented by bud light, part of rivalry week presented by espn.
01:39:21It is time for power rankings.
01:39:23Now, we are ranking the top super bowl moments of all time.
01:39:27That's a lot to choose from.
01:39:28You log, you voted, here are your rankings.
01:39:31>> Well, I would have put this higher.
01:39:33Lynn swann, super bowl x, late second quarter.
01:39:37Bradshaw unleashes it.
01:39:39Mark washington, by the way, excellent coverage.
01:39:42Swan event -- swann eventually hit the catch.
01:39:50Most acrobatic catch ever.
01:39:51>> Beg moment for bob beadle.
01:39:55A lot of people don't know that.
01:39:57Number four -- >> 12-yard line, tied game.
01:40:00Tackled, helicopter-style by leroy butler and mark prior.
01:40:04Gave denver momentum, helped elway gets his first super bowl title.
01:40:10Elway wasn't nearly as great a runner as history tells you.
01:40:13You go back and look at the old film, he wasn't really a great runner.
01:40:17>> Kevin dyson at three.
01:40:19>> This is amazing.
01:40:20Rams leading tennessee at the st. louis 10, super bowl xxxiv.
01:40:24Mike jones, shoestring tackle, leaves the seiver.
01:40:31Rams win, and everybody was on the edge of their seats till the last play of that game.
01:40:35>> And number two, james harris sofpble >> this is weird.
01:40:39Super bowl xliii, picks it off.
01:40:41It's like nine guys should have tackled him, and this big, heavy guy, who's sort of slow, just rumbling down the sidelines.
01:40:48Remember, the steelers won it.
01:40:51Arizona was getting momentum, and that really ended it right there.
01:40:55That was a huge momentum turner.
01:40:58>> Everyone knows this one.
01:40:59David tyree.
01:41:00>> Almost got sick to my stomach.
01:41:0315 left, tyree is a special teams player.
01:41:09Four catches in the regular zone.
01:41:11The patriots clearly the team of the year.
01:41:14And tyree, which was never talked about, had super glue on the helmet.
01:41:19That was never talked about.
01:41:20>> Wow.
01:41:21You just broke news.
01:41:24That was power rankings on dot-com.
01:41:26We'll go over to the web wall to see who did not make the cut on the touchdown catch.
01:41:34>> Yeah, santonio holmes' catch last year, which, if you see it again and again, the throw is equally as remark believe.
01:41:42>> Oh, we got a refrigerator perry.
01:41:45>> Hey, there's only been one kitsch even plines who's ever scored in a super bowl.
01:41:50U got to give it up for that play.
01:41:51It's the only one much oven tried once, didn't get in.
01:41:54>> A lot of vinatieri, a lot of holmes.
01:41:56We will stay at the web wall.
01:41:58Gabe, we got -- >> as you know, it was hard for me to co-host the show without tom.
01:42:05But colin, while you were out, I got this quole from michelle.
01:42:08The greatest day of my entire life, michelle, do you remember the day that you referred to as the greatest day of your entire life?
01:42:17>> I do remember it.
01:42:19I need to say, first of all, colin, of course, I missed you.
01:42:22That was nothing against you.
01:42:23But I remember that day.
01:42:25Had something to do with -- i love football, and I love the saints, and I love the super bowl.
01:42:32But I love puppies!
01:42:33Let's bring out the puppies!
01:42:37>> Twoiths hours of puppies pretending to play football in a miniature football stadium.
01:42:41>> I'm going in.
01:42:43This is my favorite day in the history of days.
01:42:45>> I love them.
01:42:46They're all taking water breaks right now, thosme >> here you go.
01:42:49Fired up puppies.
01:42:50Want me to replace puppies?
01:42:54>> During halftime of the world-famous hidden halftime show.
01:42:58>> And they're going break the tie, baby!
01:43:06>> Yeah.
01:43:07Colin, did I just get an aah out of you?
01:43:09>> That was cute.
01:43:10I thought that was -- >> an aah, though?
01:43:14I'm shocked.
01:43:15>> Animals are like people.
01:43:16They're cute at about 1-year-old, and then it gets -- it goes downhill after that.
01:43:21>> Oh, and twouff kids, so what would you describe them as now?
01:43:24Because they're not 1.
01:43:25>> Well, it was cuter a couple of years ago.
01:43:27>> Kids, your father loves you.
01:43:29Don't listen to him on tfment he's a character.
01:43:32A character.
01:43:34Bad news.
01:43:35Oh, greatest day of my life.
01:43:36Everyone asked me how many i adopted.
01:43:38It's dangerous.
01:43:39" he's n.f.c. jeers of the year.
01:43:44One jeer for dre' bly.
01:43:49E has the interception, but roddy white gets to him.
01:43:55Why?
01:43:55Because bly is showboating.
01:43:57>> It's one thing at the 1-yard line, but he's at midfield.
01:44:00That's like 50 yards of showboating.
01:44:04>> This is an embarrassing moment.
01:44:06>> And he's been in the league for a deck I had.
01:44:09>> Two years for leonard weaver.
01:44:12There are no time-outs left for philly, and time is running out.
01:44:15Leonard weaver, however, decides to waste time arguing, so mcnabb and reggie brown try to get his attention.
01:44:21They actual have the to run over there and scream at him t.
01:44:23Not bad.
01:44:24>> Young guy in the nfl.
01:44:25That was my favorite play of the year.
01:44:27>> Andy reid not happy.
01:44:29And three jeers for the redskins.
01:44:31Week 15, playing the giants.
01:44:33Everyone remembers the fake field goal.
01:44:36They line up for it, so tom coughlin calls a time-out, decides to restrategize.
01:44:40That should give washington time to think of something else.
01:44:42>> Yeah, generally trick plays, the element of surprise is big.
01:44:47But after a time-out, they went back to the same play.
01:44:50So the element of surprise was done, and it was the worst -- nothing looks worse than a trek play gone horribly wrong.
01:44:59>> Bad deja vu.
01:45:00Single most important part of our show is coming up next.
01:45:03If you care about football, america, and pizza, I think you're going to want to watch it.
01:45:42.
01:46:29(announcer)NIVEA For ..shampoo...and shave.
01:46:34..
01:46:38Almost.
01:46:39Active 3 fromnivea for men.
01:46:40What men want.
01:48:10>> Things we love on this show, the x factor.
01:48:14T new muss x and polling.
01:48:17>> You're trying that thing.
01:48:18>> Well, I ordered it.
01:48:20I thought it was pills.
01:48:21I didn't know I had to actually exercise.
01:48:23Probably not going to do it.
01:48:24Every day we take a lot of polls in an attempt to get smarter.
01:48:28This is what we learned.
01:48:30Yep, that's $150 down the drain.
01:48:32How you doing?
01:48:32A little impact.
01:48:3459% Of sportsnation say that dwight freeney will have just a little impact on the sbosme >> yeah, michelle thought p-90x, you go on a golf cart, no.
01:48:45I don't think freeney is going to do anything, because I think the super bowl is the best players, and can't play at 60%.
01:48:49I love him as a player, but he's been on a golf cart all week.
01:48:52I just then die -- I just don't think you can go from there to dominating.
01:48:58>> Asking a lot.
01:48:59Full contact arm wresming, there it, is it's called x arm, and it's awe.
01:49:03So >> the only arms here are the ones holding onto the feet, which are slitesing people in the forehead right there.
01:49:10>> That is great right there.
01:49:11>> I will say this, though.
01:49:13Uniforms and marketing go a long way.
01:49:14Because the uniforms -- if there were no uniforms, this is a tavern fight.
01:49:18 they were wearing t-shirts and jeans, not so.
01:49:21But now there's a set.
01:49:22>> Yeah, looks like -- wow, this is like gladiators.
01:49:26Let's sign up for advertisers, subscribers.
01:49:29>> Looks like they need -- maybe we'll sponsor one.
01:49:32Manning stays clean, 55% of sportsnation say his jersey isn't going to get dirty.
01:49:38>> I am predicting a nickel or quarter-sized stain on his warm from warm-ups, stretching.
01:49:43Listen, the jets struggled against manning.
01:49:45You're talking about a team that understands they have an immobile, legendary quarterback.
01:49:51It's just -- and by the way, besides that, he has a great pocket sense he's always known when to step up or step out.
01:49:58>> Greatest winter sport ever, frisbee golf in alaska.
01:50:04>> You have to be creative when it's dark a lot.
01:50:05And it's cold a lot.
01:50:07So you're not going surf in alaska.
01:50:09>> And you don't to want waste money.
01:50:11This is a nice, inexpensive -- >> no, you can repsych they will sport.
01:50:15's, although they appear to come from no where.
01:50:18I love the fact that sometimes it's like, whoa, what is that?
01:50:21A spaceship?
01:50:22Oh, no, it's hasbro.
01:50:24>> Experience does count, 71% of you say having super bowl experience will be an advantage tonight.
01:50:31>> Well, it's like marriages.
01:50:32Somebody that's never been married, you're nervous before the wedding.
01:50:35Somebody that's been married a couple of times for the second or third time, it's hard -- >> aren't you still nervous?
01:50:41Hey, the first one didn't work out, and I'm going to try again?
01:50:44>> Yeah, but your attitude is, even if this one doesn't work out, at least I get more parties.
01:50:50>> And you know you can get out of it now.
01:50:51I get it.
01:50:51>> You mentioned earlier, by the third one, it's just about divorce attorneys.
01:50:55>> So bad.
01:50:56No, I did not say it.
01:50:57It was our cynical crew in here.
01:50:58Yes, experience will be good, saints hopefully will watch out for alligators.
01:51:03Never bungee jump into a pond with alligators.
01:51:05>> Australia just has fewer rules and regulations.
01:51:08You can do commercials like this in australia.
01:51:11>> I know.
01:51:11People, we know it's fake.
01:51:12I don't want to get some -- hey, did you know it was fake?
01:51:15Yeah, I know it's fake.
01:51:16And I know exactly who would send me that tweet.
01:51:19>> Is that how they would sound?
01:51:21>> Hey, that's not real.
01:51:23I know, I know.
01:51:24>> That's what ps when you take those p-90 pills all dasme you start talking like.
01:51:28That >> so disappointed.
01:51:30All right, you guys have some bold statements about today's game.
01:51:33We're here now to determine whether those claims are true or false.
01:51:35We're going to get going with the first bold super bowl sframentse a fan, jamie.
01:51:40>> First one, true or false.
01:51:42Peyton will get sacked three or mower times today.
01:51:46Colin, you go first.
01:51:47>> That's false, pretty easy here.
01:51:50No way the saints are going to sack him three times.
01:51:51Keep in mind, the jets got him twice in the a.f.c.
01:51:54Championship, and the jets defense was easily the best in the league at the end.
01:51:58The saints have only one sack in two playoff games this year.
01:52:02They're a good team at spurring the quarterback.
01:52:05They just don't get to you.
01:52:07Manning was only sacked 10 times this year.
01:52:09Here's what makes it more remarkable.
01:52:11He had the second most pass attempts of his career, making it even more impressive.
01:52:14Manning was sacked on less than 2% of his dropbacks this season.
01:52:21No way the saints get to peyton three or more times.
01:52:24>> You know what?
01:52:25I'm going make a prediction right now, colin.
01:52:28The first possession for the colts, peyton manning will be safpblgt it will be a momentum builder right off the bat.
01:52:35I said it.
01:52:35>> All right.
01:52:37I'm going disagree with you on that one.
01:52:39>> Jammi, next statement.
01:52:41>> True or false, reggie bush will have more than 150 all-purpose yards.
01:52:47Beadle, true or false?
01:52:48>> Well, I night say it, but false.
01:52:50It's really asking a lot, you guys.
01:52:52Now people are probably think about reggie against the cardinals in the divisional round when he accounted for 217 yards, including 84 on the ground and 109 on punt returns.
01:53:02He was so awesome in that win over the vikings, he scored twice, but he only accounted for 41 yards.
01:53:08150 All-purpose yards is really a lot to ask, he's only done that witness a season.
01:53:15And again, all he really has to do is make one return and he could get there.
01:53:20>> Colts were a very mature team.
01:53:22Don't be shocked if they don't punt it to him.
01:53:24Don't be shockeding if this team, with two weeks to prepare, said, you know what, this guy can beat us, we're not giving hem a shot.
01:53:30>> We're not even going to allow him the opportunity.
01:53:32That would be very smart.
01:53:33Jamie, next?
01:53:35>> Next week, troupe or false, kim kardashian should be shown on tv more than seven times during the game.
01:53:42Coinl, is that true or false?
01:53:44>> False.
01:53:44I'm not saying I don't want the cutaways.
01:53:46I do.
01:53:47I love the super bowl commercials and cutaways, and she is beautiful.
01:53:51But more than seven times, a little extreme.
01:53:53Vegas is offering bets about the number of times kim will appear on screen.
01:53:56They've set over-under at about 2 1/2.
01:53:58She really is beautiful.
01:53:59>> Oh, she's stunning.
01:54:00>> Unless reggie scores six touchdowns, it doesn't seem like that will you're going see her more than a handful of times the good news, you can also bet on what she'll be wearing.
01:54:08Law a what?
01:54:08>> And if she'll be shown more times than archie manning.
01:54:11You can bet on that as well.
01:54:12>> Knowing she's going to be dressed a little understated.
01:54:16Still flashy, but not too much.
01:54:18She, as every good girlfriend should, realize that has today is ball her man.
01:54:22>> Understated?
01:54:23>> Yep, still sexy, because at the end, she's kim kardashian.
01:54:27>> Kardashian understated, it doesn't mesh.
01:54:31>> Kardashian understated.
01:54:32Jimmie, next statement.
01:54:33>> Next true or false, darren sharper will have a pick six.
01:54:39Beadle, true or false?
01:54:40>> It is true, I hope.
01:54:42Vegas has the all-pro safety as the most likely player to have an interception in the game.
01:54:47He led the league with nine interceptions in the regular season.
01:54:51He also set an nfl record for interception return yards with 376 and took three of those picks to the house for scores.
01:54:59So if he does pick one, look out, pave tofpble I'm betting on sharper to do something special today, and that could actually mean a pick six.
01:55:07>> Giving a touchdown for a defensive player like him is not just about talent.
01:55:12He's got unbelievable instinct, and that's what I love about him.
01:55:16It's going to be peyton anticipates instincts against sharper.
01:55:19You're talking about veteran guys who played in over 100 football games.
01:55:22If I told you somebody was going to have a pick six, everybody in the studio would pick this guy.
01:55:27Great, great instincts.
01:55:28He's been around forever and been doing it forever.
01:55:31>> What do we have?
01:55:32What's the next one, jamie?
01:55:35>> One more true or false.
01:55:36Pierre garcon will be the top receiver for both sides after the game.
01:55:41Colin, is that true or false?
01:55:42>> True.
01:55:43Why not?
01:55:46He led the colts with 11 catches for 151 yards and a in a win over the jets dwefpbles he's only been over 100 yards receiving twice all year before the game.
01:55:55The experts in vegas don't expect him to be a hot receiver, but he's the guy that fans are rooting for.
01:56:01We've all heard that he's of haitian descent, and has become the unofficial nfl spokesman for relief of the island nation.
01:56:09Saints were 26th in the nfl in passing yards allowed.
01:56:13And garcon is the colts' hot receiver.
01:56:17>> Hot.
01:56:17>> That's the key now.
01:56:18Reggie suddenly, reggie bush has become sort of a hot playmaker.
01:56:22Garcon is the hot playmaker.
01:56:24This is football unlike any other sport.
01:56:27Who's hot?
01:56:28Who is brees comfortable with?
01:56:29Who is manning comfortable with?
01:56:31I think he's going to have a big day.
01:56:32>> It's scary, because he's hot, but he always has everyone else he has to throw to, and they've had two weeks.
01:56:38It's a little scary.
01:56:40They could all be hot.
01:56:41>> So many amazing it skill people in this game.
01:56:44I mean, just reggie and wayne and clark and shockey.
01:56:48I've never seen a super bowl -- there's the pope terrible for seven guys.
01:56:53>> Kim kardashian right there.
01:56:54, 10 guys in this game.
01:56:57>> That's right.
01:56:59I want it to be a blowout.
01:57:00Are you ready?
01:57:00>> I am.
01:57:01>> This is it.
01:57:02We're almost done with two hours.
01:57:03It is time to get sad.
01:57:07's tears of the year.
01:57:10First up, the man in black and white, a referee, giants and eagles.
01:57:14Mcnabb finds desean jackson, but not before that ref finds a hole in the ground.
01:57:19>> Well, it is, it's funny.
01:57:21Desean can run a perfect route and the ref can't just walk down the sideline.
01:57:26>> It's a saunter.
01:57:27>> There's a reason the refs are refs and players are players.
01:57:31>> There's nothing there, too.
01:57:32Makes you wonder.
01:57:34Two tears for owen schmidt.

00:00:19>> Not a at all.
00:00:21If you're on a golf cart wednesday you're not going to be good on sunday.
00:00:27Dwight freeny, no impact at all.
00:00:30During the week he was on a hyperbolic chamber and stem machine.
00:00:35Not in a huddle.
00:00:37He was franken stein.
00:00:39Regular people can relate to this.

00:00:43Two weeks later you're going to be at full strength?
00:00:46>> No.
00:00:47Not full strength, however, a lot of experts think he'll come out and be 60%.

00:00:59He's 14 days spot healing process.

00:01:17That's what he averages.
00:01:19That's at 100%.
00:01:20At 60%, no sacks, no hurries.
00:01:24Again, wednesday, depolve cart, sunday, you're not going to be a pro bowler.
00:01:30>> We ask "sportsnation" will freeney impact the game a lot, a little or not at all?
00:01:36I say a little.
00:01:37>> Not at all.
00:01:38>> "Sportsnation," a little bit.
00:01:4059%.
00:01:40One down.
00:01:42Al second question.
00:01:44Will the saints be able to sack pate season?
00:01:47So peyton manning was only sacked 10 times the entire regular season.
00:01:51The thought is that if peyton keeps his jersey clean, the colts win.
00:01:57>> Earlier gregg williams said the saints will have to deliver some -- wait for it -- remember me hits.
00:02:06We asked "sportsnation" peyton's uniform will be dirty or clean?
00:02:11>> It will be clean.
00:02:13He will have maybe a quarter-sized grass stain on his hip from pregame stretching.
00:02:21First of all, the saints don't get to the quarterback that much.
00:02:2535 Sacks.
00:02:2813Th in the nfl combine that with the colts who gave up 10 to peyton manning.
00:02:33This is a guy with a clean jersey.
00:02:36In fact he may not wash it after the game.
00:02:38>> Oh, he'll wash it.
00:02:41Whether or not they sack him -- I think they will get to peyton manning, and they will do things, remember brett favre against the saints, he didn't say untouched by any stretch of the imagine nation.
00:02:53I think they will be able to get to him.
00:02:57By the way peyton manning has been sacked in the first season alone.
00:03:01Four time.
00:03:01>> Remember favre ad libs more in the offense and it's problematic.
00:03:08Manning, everything is thought out.
00:03:11Everything for peyton manning is on paper.
00:03:13There's no ad libbing.
00:03:15That's when quarterbacks get in trouble.
00:03:18Favre's a huge ad libber.
00:03:22Manning doesn't really believe in it.
00:03:25>> Will manning's uniform be dirty or clean?
00:03:31>> I say dirty.
00:03:33"Sportsnation," clean.
00:03:3455%.
00:03:35Does a nickel-sized count?
00:03:38Does experience matter?
00:03:40This week the colts stayed in the same hotel they were in three years ago.
00:03:46Some players even stayed in their old rooms and when they left the room they practiced at the same facility before they won their super bowl.
00:03:5419 Colts have super bowl experience.
00:03:57Know how many saints played in the super bowl?
00:03:59Just four.
00:04:00So we asked players do players with super bowl speerps have big advantages?
00:04:06>> I think so.
00:04:07Early and late in this game the saints will be a nervous game.
00:04:11In between you get into a deproove.
00:04:14Long drive, you forget about it.
00:04:17But when a lot of games are won or lost, 28 colts have a super bowl ring, one saint does.
00:04:26>> I think it's onlyical to say been there, done that, you know what to expect, the party.
00:04:33All week these guys have had to deal with it.
00:04:36I also think there is something to be said for a little bit of ignorance or bliss because maybe you don't know what it is going out this.
00:04:47Treat it like a regular game.
00:04:49Like our first show.
00:04:51Our very first show I was nervous but a few minutes in i was comfortable and now I just do it in my sleep.
00:04:59>> Think about this.
00:05:01The difference between no super bowls and one, it's the difference between getting remarried and married for the first time.
00:05:08Everyone's nervous for the first wedding and go ask somebody about their second wedding.
00:05:13It's like a big party.
00:05:14>> You look at peyton manning.
00:05:16Been there, done that, same hotel, same game, same receivers.
00:05:21>> I really think there's a huge difference.
00:05:23No super bowls to one.
00:05:25>> And -- >> we asked "sportsnation" do players with experience have a big advantage?
00:05:33I think so.
00:05:34>> Me too.
00:05:35>> "Sportsnation," yes.
00:05:37Big, 71%.
00:05:38All right.
00:05:41Lebron, oh, yeah.
00:05:42We're doing it.

00:05:48The hammer scored 35 in the first half set ago cleveland record and ended up going 17-31 from the floor with six three-pointers.
00:05:58With the win the cavs improved to a league best 41 and 11 and we were saying lebron may have provided more action than what we have seen tonight so we asked sports sports more points from lebron last night or the super bowl?
00:06:16>> Well the knicks aren't playing in the spole.
00:06:21There's only one or two -- this spole, manning, prees, shockey, this super bowl has about a dozen a-plus or b-minus players.
00:06:37I just think this super bowl more than any of my adult life, there's going to be more scoring.
00:06:44>> The whole reason is I walk in here today and I think we should scrap the super bowl and let's just do an speier two hours of the akron hammer.
00:06:54This was my sneaky way of getting lebron in the show, because he scored at one point 24 straight points.
00:07:03If you played for the new york knicks at some point last night do you not just take the dude out?

01:01:14You zponchte -- I mean, you have got to twashfomple so >> it's a silly pick, but they are all silly.
01:01:30>> But can you say something about fiver of the last six, the only one they got wrong was giants-patriots, which obviously nobody got right, because we didn't see that coming.
01:01:41How about that?
01:01:42The simulation game?
01:01:43>> Well, it uses if you say and data and computers but that's what a lot of them use.
01:01:49>> There's more scientific picking.
01:01:53Which leads us to our most buzz fevpl -- a 37-year-old gorilla at the fort worth zoo picked the saints.
01:02:12Amonte only cracked to saints.
01:02:15That is her super bowl winner.
01:02:17For the first year gorillas are making picks.
01:02:22They are hoping the gorilla could be a little more accurate.
01:02:27The fofftofle with big zpeam -- before we started the show, "sportsnation," I went to the bronx zoo and talked to a llama.
01:02:46Incredible sounding 3w50rd.
01:02:47They are tremendous listeners.
01:02:49They give you the type of timely and compassionate feedback you need.
01:02:54So this to me is well- founded, makes sense and is totally trustible.
01:02:59>> I wanted you to go on around on with that.
01:03:02We talk about this all the time.
01:03:04Some of us take it so seriously making these picks.
01:03:08But at the end of the show we do these experiments where a housewife picks based on the color of the uniform and ends up beating 60% of the so called experts.
01:03:19For me it's just fun.
01:03:21For whatever reason she felt a charisma or a certain connection with the saints.
01:03:27I'm going with amonte.
01:03:28>> I'm going with armon the.
01:03:32Hello!
01:03:33>> Man, did I have in and stop bragging.
01:03:41No one here tome ing fears of the year.
01:03:46Once a year, first up.
01:03:48David anderson.
01:03:51Texans-jags.
01:03:52Pass intended for david anderson, but he gets hit so hard he coughs up the yard and coughs up the ball and it gets intercepted.
01:04:02Nothing good about that.
01:04:05To justin durant.
01:04:06Coming up with the pick.
01:04:08Just hurts.
01:04:08>> How come the houston texans always have these good players backup end up third in the division.
01:04:17Two cheers for tommy kelly.
01:04:21With the tackle.
01:04:22At some point, however, it's the bottom of the pile.
01:04:25And he just manages to lose his pants.
01:04:27>> This was not -- watch this.
01:04:31>> I personally thought this was hilarious.
01:04:34>> That wasn't great.
01:04:37The elasticity let him down.
01:04:39>> He probably doesn't like having his boom-boom show.
01:04:44>> I've never seen that.
01:04:45His pants.
01:04:46>> "Three jeers" for william gay, vikings-steelers.
01:04:50Favre throws a pass, makes a joke out of william gay.
01:04:56>> This is actually funny.
01:04:58Unless william gay, it's great.
01:05:00>> Adrian peterson just has a way to own you.
01:05:04>> Adrian peterson says he runs angry.
01:05:07That's his term for it.
01:05:08>> I like that.
01:05:10I work angry.
01:05:11>> That's my term.
01:05:12>> Not for us but for you.
01:05:14>> We're going to tell you important information about a quarterback I like more than peyton manning.
01:05:22And his name is tom brady.
01:05:24What?
01:05:25>> I don't like this.
01:05:26No one ran this by me.
01:05:28" >> hey, jacob, what are we going to watch today?
01:09:05>> The super bowl.
01:09:06>> What else are we g >> hey, jacob, what are we going to watch today?
01:09:10>> Super bowl.
01:09:11>> What else?
01:09:12>> "Sportsnation"t!
01:09:16>> Sports is presented by stoita.
01:09:19-- Toyota.
01:09:21>> Good morning.
01:09:22We're just bringing you a little happy morning time.
01:09:25We're actually an hour or two out.
01:09:30We have our morning mugs I feel very kelly and regis.
01:09:34>> Me, too.
01:09:36I had a danish and went to a platties class.
01:09:41>> No you didn't.
01:09:42We get to answer the big question.
01:09:45Who you got?
01:09:47Experts think the colts are going to win this thing by five.
01:09:51We heard a lot about the only thing that can beat the colts are the colts.
01:09:57>> Uf60.
01:10:02Sean payton's crew is looking to change that.
01:10:04Saints or colts?
01:10:05>> I am a colts believer.
01:10:09Quarterback?
01:10:10Check, colts.
01:10:10>> Defense, check, colts.
01:10:12>> Better conference?
01:10:14I believe it's the a.f.c.
01:10:16Skilled players?
01:10:17More of them, colts.
01:10:19>> Head coach, I give the saints the edge.
01:10:22But I also think the saints may the majority of their games at home on that turf.
01:10:27I think indianapolis -- been on this grass pfer.
01:10:31I think all things tell me the colts are a better team, and i don't think it's going to come down to the last second.
01:10:37>> I feel like the grass-turf thing isn't that big a deal.
01:10:43No secret I'm a fan of the never dogs and there hasn't been as great an underdog as the saints.
01:10:51Who could use a big erwin than drew brees and now -- who could use a biger win than drew brees?
01:11:12>> When you have a team that isn't supposed to be there and the type of season new orleans did I cannot, not root for the saints.
01:11:21>> And the yankees and lakers when they get to the finals they usually win it because it's part of the culture.
01:11:29Historically the saints, the rockies that slip into the world series, they play nervous.
01:11:35>> So we ask "sportsnation" who you got?
01:11:38Saints?
01:11:39Colts?
01:11:40>> I state colts.
01:11:41>> I say saints.
01:11:42>> "Sportsnation"?
01:11:43Not too bad.
01:11:4558% Going colts.
01:11:46>> We both want a really good game.
01:11:48>> That's more important than anything.
01:11:50>> What will be freeney's impact?
01:11:53It appears so far freeney is going to play.
01:11:56Even though he hasn't practiced.
01:11:59Still has that torn ligament his right ankle.
01:12:03According to a source he's planning on testing it before the game tonight.
01:12:08But we want to know will freeney impact the game a lot, a little or not at all?
01:12:14>> Not at all.
01:12:16I've had the theory for about 20 years that if during week you don't practice and if instead you're on a depolve cart, you're not going to have a big exact foff now he's playing 60%.
01:12:33All I saw all week was a hyperbolic chamber.
01:12:37Golf cart.
01:12:38>> Isn't it hyperbaric?
01:12:41>> His is so bad he went to the hyperbolic chamber.
01:12:45>> Oh.
01:12:46>> He's a great player but he's going to be playing at 507-60%.
01:12:53Regular people can relate to this.
01:12:55You rip up your ankle or knee, two weeks later -- you're not better.
01:13:00>> Well, it's supposed to take five or six weeks to heal and the dude's had 14 days.
01:13:06I don't know how much you can do as far as shots are concerned, obviously you're not going to keep him from trying and yes he'll only probably be 507.
01:13:17Dwayne brock is ready to go.
01:13:18Yeah.
01:13:20I think he may have a little impact, mentally.
01:13:25Other than that, I don't know.
01:13:26>> And by the way, if you're playing on a tender ankle.
01:13:31It increase it is chances you get hurt again.
01:13:34Not to mention you're thinking about it.
01:13:37>> We ask sportsnation will freey impact the game a lot?
01:13:43A little?
01:13:45"Sportsnation"?
01:13:4559%.
01:13:45A little.
01:13:46Even if he's just out there, might rattle them a bit.
01:13:50" a 400 yard day, will peyton manning have one?
01:13:56People are expecting him to share it.
01:13:58When he face as defense ranked 25 depeps the pass.
01:14:02This year manning not surprisingly hit them all up.
01:14:09>> Averaging 11 yards per game.
01:14:13Will pate throw over or under 400 yards?
01:14:17>> Under.
01:14:18>> Because it's the biggest game of the year we start to embellish, people start saying yeah.
01:14:24He's going to throw for 900 yards in the first-quarter.
01:14:28>> He usually gets in the 325's, 330.
01:14:32That's what the offense is build for.
01:14:34And by the way this is a team that likes to get lead and then teate clock.
01:14:40He is not flawless.
01:14:42He's going to make some mistakes.
01:14:46He's great quarterback but even great quarterbacks tend not to throw for 400 yards.
01:14:52>> And you're basically saying the saints are going to allow peyton manning to go out there and throw for 400 yards.
01:15:01This isn't some random week seven game.
01:15:05I've heard people say he's going to have I can't see it coming to that.
01:15:17>> And even though the colts have had a lot of players playing in this game.
01:15:22It will be like the fights in vegas.
01:15:25The two will feel out each other.
01:15:28Doubtful they come in with their trick place.
01:15:31This first quarter is going feel slow.
01:15:35Tells me fewer yards.
01:15:36>> Will peyton throw over or under 400 yards tonight?
01:15:41You say?
01:15:42>> Under.
01:15:42>> As well do i.
01:15:45"Sportsnation," under by a lot fove this week the colts heavy to some of the players even went back and stayed in their own room.
01:16:00When they went to the old room they did the same thing, practiced where they practiced when they won the super bowl.
01:16:0919 Colts have spole experience.
01:16:12On the saints team only four.
01:16:14So we asked "sportsnation" do players with super bowl speerps have two or more.
01:16:24But never having been and having been, there's a big gap there.
01:16:30My feeling is the colts will be better early and late.
01:16:34In the middle of the game, stroint but the first five, six minutes, don't kid yourself 206789 at tend noflte I like the colts's of this who have earned over 20 rings and there's one phi on the saints, one guy has a super bowl ring.
01:16:58So how much does it matter?
01:17:00I don't know, but eit memory -- anything.
01:17:05A job interview, cooking, whatever it might be.
01:17:08You get that first one out of the way, there's a certain comfort level that comes with it.
01:17:13Now I do think with drew prees, they've been nut a position.
01:17:20Look they weren't even supposed to be here.
01:17:23They've had a lot to get to this point but I think in the end depeerns is a big deal.
01:17:29We asked you guys, sneerns yes?
01:17:33You said -- foff I like the optimism on the no.
01:17:39Marketing brees.
01:17:41According to a leading 2% of people in america recognize drew brees.
01:17:50If he were to lead the saints to a victory experts say he could double his marketing durability.
01:18:0027 Average as many $12 million in endorpsments a year.
01:18:04We ask "sportsnation" can drew brees tev no.
01:18:11He doesn't want it.
01:18:12And he doesn't have it.
01:18:13>> What I mean by that.
01:18:15Great guy.
01:18:16Family guy.
01:18:17Quiet guy.
01:18:18But he doesn't have the gravitas or sense of humor of peyton manning.
01:18:24Doesn't look like tom paradey, who does now the the wrangler appeal of brett favre.
01:18:34He is a smallish, reluctant to give the press a lot of stuff about him.
01:18:39He doesn't have that "it" and " >> but you know what part he does have?
01:18:45An amazing story.
01:18:47You said it yourself.
01:18:48Wanted to go to texas and ended up going to purdue.
01:18:53Not always floved san diego but made an awesome home for himself in new orleans.
01:18:57People like to see people make it.
01:18:59That gives them hope ads well.
01:19:01Peyton manning -- drew brees has worked his tail off to do what he's done and the same expert said if he got familiar and did more stuff he has more appeal than peyton manning.
01:19:23>> So I think likeibility?
01:19:26Absolutely.
01:19:27I am very -- >> wow.
01:19:29You just got -- >> the real me is very likable.
01:19:33>> I don't know.
01:19:33I think could he be a peyton manning?
01:19:36No.
01:19:36But that's an exception.
01:19:37We asked "sportsnation" can drew brees become a marketing star?
01:19:42You say -- >> I say is to have -- 65%.
01:19:57Mcdonald's revealed a new classic of the commercial.
01:20:00The original featured michael jordan and larry bird playing for a big mac.
01:20:05This one has dwight howard challenging lebron james for his lunch.
01:20:09Some people love the remake and others think lebron should do his own thing so love it or leave it?
01:20:17>> Leave it.
01:20:18First of all, get some championships before you play horse.
01:20:21>> Serious?
01:20:22>> Yes.
01:20:23>> I play horse.
01:20:23>> When bird and magic were doing it, they were both iconic, paid their dues.
01:20:31Dwight howard would be the first to admit and his coaches would say he's about 60% of the player he's going to be and bird was arguably the best player ever, jordan was, too.
01:20:48Now you're forcing me to like him.
01:20:50>> But you're talking right now who of the handful of the biggest names in the nba which by the way has become great at marketing its stars.
01:21:03And by the time these guys are threw they are both going to have rings.
01:21:08People love magic and the akron hammer is the akron I'm just not pro mcdonald's commercial.
01:21:21I feel like they are pushing it and forcing it.
01:21:27Fofe you say?
01:21:33>> To have ok.
01:21:39They loved it.
01:21:4060%.
01:21:41That one's on me.
01:21:43>> Peyton manning loves tossing it out to tight end dallas clark.
01:21:49Will he find haters in the super bowl?
01:21:52Find out after the break.
01:21:54" >> can't win them all.
01:25:43>> Everybody wants to know what's up with dwight freeney's knowing he will.
01:25:47>> Everybody wants to know what's up with dwight freeney's ankle.
01:25:53We start our top 10 of theppings you've got hear.
01:25:56>> At some point you've got feel what you think you have to feel in order play football.
01:26:02What do you think it will be?
01:26:04>> As long as I can go out there and have some agility and be able to push off around play somewhat like I know hour, you know?
01:26:14I'll be fine.
01:26:15You know, if I do have to alter my game a little bit.
01:26:18So be it.
01:26:20This is biggest game there is.
01:26:22>> Number four.
01:26:23>> If you're walking through a hotel or any venue and you run into peyton manning or drew brees.
01:26:29When you run into drew brees you say congratulations.
01:26:32When you run into peyton manning you say you got one more to cement your legacy.
01:26:37>> I'm not superstitious.
01:26:41Maybe a little stitious.
01:26:46Sorry, eli gave me that joke bad joke.
01:26:49I take that back.
01:26:50>> You can they can party and they say they have a real great celebration planned for us if weapon win this game.
01:26:58>> We reach ad point where we're ready to wrap up our story on the ocho cinco network.
01:27:34Uh, I have a certain gravitas about me.
01:27:39I have a -- eh, a certain bellicose dignity that purveys most of what I do.
01:27:47I'm kind of a michelangelo of the spoken word.
01:27:52Actually.
01:27:53I take pictures with the words I say out of my mouth.
01:27:57>> Yes.
01:27:57Don't we all.
01:27:59Don't we all.
01:28:01It is gametime, and colin, who has missed his awesome red jacket wears it today.
01:28:09We ask you five questions and i try to guess how you answered.
01:28:14>> Depod to see management finally drop some denaro.
01:28:20I would say I've earned the right to some flashing lights.
01:28:24That's cle.
01:28:25First question, belinda.
01:28:27Good to see her again.
01:28:28A nurse or a homemaker, i always forget.
01:28:32What percentage of "sportsnation" trust it is mad den super bowl simulation that says saints win?
01:28:40>> According to the madden super bowl simulation, the saints will pull off the upset.
01:28:46If you think that's funny, mad and nfc championships games with the a margin of five or six points.
01:28:59That being said I think people are still sceptical.
01:29:02>> I love the arrest stroids.
01:29:09Clearly technology ends there.
01:29:10That is going no where.
01:29:137% Buy the mad ensimulation.
01:29:17The sportsnation says?
01:29:19>> Claudia, if you're going to help me cheat, give me the right answer.
01:29:23>> Yeah.
01:29:26Dallas clark will score a t.d.
01:29:28>> Well, if you are looking for a sleeper pick, and I think we all are.
01:29:35Dallas clark would be a good one.
01:29:37Clark and manning connected over 100 times this season for 11 touchdowns.
01:29:42He is tied for the team lead with reggie wayne.
01:29:46>> That's rid -- no one throws to the tight end end.
01:29:50They are strictly used for blocking.
01:29:54That is a ridiculous error by our -- >> you think it's higher?
01:29:5966%?

01:31:13As long as I get one.
01:31:15>> Next.
01:31:16>> It says remmingy bush will score a touchdown.
01:31:20>> There is 25 remy bush could be the x factor.
01:31:25He makes explosive plays and scores touchdowns but when he does those things they are hard to beat.

01:32:48Journalism doesn't stop.
01:32:49Not sure if this is journalism.
01:32:52>> This is not journalism.
01:32:54I'm going to say 66%.

01:32:57>> No.
01:32:57No.

01:33:04My america.
01:33:07>> Higher.
